Rode out with old Bessie this morning to check on the fences. She's a rusty workhorse of a pickup, all dents and rattles but just won't quit. Reminded me, it's not always flashy things that get the job done right. Like my old .30-30 Winchester—she's seen better days, but she's never let me down. Got me thinking, what's the one tool or gear you'd hate to part with, no matter how shiny the new stuff gets? Ain't always about the bells and whistles, huh?
