Spent some time at the range today with the ol' Springfield M1A. Those 7.62x51 NATO rounds never disappoint, even after all these years. Got me thinking about the first time I fired one in service. Funny how the smell of gunpowder can bring back memories of band of brothers and faraway deserts. Anyone else have a rifle that takes them straight back to a different time? Holler with your stories.
